A bill to allow for the composting of human remains just passed the House. My remarks on this bill weren’t so much directed at the disposition of our physical remains so much as being directed at those who see us as a mere bundle of cells in the womb and mulch for the garden after death, who don’t see that body as a vessel of life for however short a period of time. As we celebrate life this Easter, I think it’s appropriate to take some time to reflect on what that means.
