As your State Representative, it’s my duty to keep you up to date on developments regarding the COVID-19 virus and to provide you with information about the resources available from Illinois government. If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms please DO NOT go to the emergency room. Instead, call your primary care physician, and if you don’t have a primary care physician, please call the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) coronavirus hotline at 1-800-889-3931.
There are also things we can do to in our own communities:
If you know someone who’s elderly or disabled, give them a call to see how they are and volunteer to run to the store for them;
As you know, restaurants have been closed to in-store dining. Many of them are offering takeout and delivery services. These are our neighbors; help them keep their doors open by ordering out. All of us have had our lives disrupted by the COVID-19 virus, and it’s at times like this that our citizens have always risen to the challenge.
I’m confident that this time will be no different, and that by working together we’ll get through this.
