Rep. Reick Calls on DCFS To Release Application to Administer Family First Prevention Services Act

Rep. Reick took to the floor today to question the Department of Children and Family Services’ application to administer the Family First Prevention Services Act. While the Act was intended to provide services outside the control of DCFS, the agency somehow managed to take complete control of the program. What’s more, the Agency’s application to the Feds has never been made public. Reick called upon DCFS to make the application public to see if it took it upon itself to take over functions it was never meant to have.
