Rep. Reick Announces 103rd General Assembly Committee Appointments

WOODSTOCK… Upon receiving his committee appointments for the 103rd General Assembly, State Representative Steve Reick (RWoodstock) released the following statement:

“Since 2019 I’ve been focused on reforming the Department of Children and Family Services, so I’m happy to have been appointed as the Spokesman for the Adoption and Child Welfare Committee. This committee serves as the primary venue for considering legislation that will hopefully help us clean up the problems that have plagued this Department and resulted in the deaths of far too many abused and neglected children. I’ve also been appointed as Spokesman for the Personnel and Pensions committee, where I hope to work with my colleagues on the ongoing issue of Illinois’ lingering pension debt.

“I’ve also been re-appointed to three committees that I’ve sat on since I was first elected: Elementary & Secondary Education School Curriculum & Polices, Labor and Commerce, as well as Revenue and Finance. In addition, I’m pleased to have been reappointed to the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules (JCAR), which oversees the application of administrative rulemaking by executive agencies.

“I ask all my constituents to reach out to my office with any ideas and thoughts on new legislation or with issues dealing with state government. My door is always open, and I pledge to fairly represent everyone in the 63rd district.”

Representative Reick’s district office is located at 1072 Lake Avenue in Woodstock, and he can also be reached by phone at (815) 880-5340 or by email at reick@ilhousegop.org.
